Abstract

For the period 2025-2029, CIAC aligns its strategy with the five pillars of the INCoDe 2030 program: Education, through the reinforcement of digital skills and training; Inclusion, aiming at technological access and empowerment; Advanced Training, fostering technical courses and postgraduate studies; Research and Innovation, seeking new knowledge and active international participation. In line with its creative matrix, CIAC proposes to promote a humanistic and insightful vision of the human condition, thus pursuing innovative research in the field of arts and communication, with equal emphasis on the identification and evaluation of resulting literacies. CIAC adopts an inter-, multi-, and transdisciplinary approach, justified by the scientific diversity of its members, in the promotion of intercritical dialogues between arts and technology. In accordance with Portuguese and European principles of applied research, CIAC seeks to integrate society into this process, investing in advanced training and international partnerships to achieve innovative results and promote democratization and access to knowledge. Projects developed at CIAC establish the connection between technology, science, and arts, contributing to sharing the knowledge produced with society. The Center strengthens partnerships with centers from other areas, promoting global exchange. It prioritizes training, research, and creation, promoting accessible and rigorous literacies, while committed to career development and researcher stability. The goals of CIAC include training, research, knowledge dissemination, and international collaborations, as they contribute to the development of Sustainable Development Goals by promoting quality education, innovation, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities, climate action, justice, and partnerships for the implementation of the SDG.
