Abstract

The Center of Physics and Technological Research - CEFITEC is dedicated to advancing knowledge in applied physics and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on international collaboration, education, and dissemination. Our strategic plan for 2025-2029 has been developed around four key objectives: conducting research of excellence, providing cutting-edge training, creating stimulating conditions for researchers, and maximizing impact through effective dissemination and exploitation of our achievements. Our research efforts focus on understanding low-energy interactions in key molecules, developing robust coatings for particle accelerators, and innovating gas sensors. Additionally, we are developing groundbreaking devices to measure total and partial pressures and exploring solar-to-laser conversion to establish a renewable pulsed laser station. We are committed to involving students in meaningful research projects, assisting with scholarship applications, and providing personalized supervision and financial support. Our goals include equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in technological companies or R&D organizations, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Recognizing that research excellence depends on motivated researchers, our strategy involves fostering idea contribution, empowering researchers with new responsibilities, advocating for recognition of their skills and permanent positions, and promoting inclusion and diversity within our unit. But our work doesn't stop there. We are committed to ensuring that our scientific achievements translate into real impact. Through strategic partnerships at national and international levels, including collaborations with stakeholders interested in leveraging our advancements, we aim to increase the visibility of our achievements and maximize the societal benefits of our efforts.
